We spent the best 4th of July in Wyoming with the Barney clan. I must say traveling with a baby takes a lot of planning and many more stops on the road. But it was all worth it. We went horseback riding and enjoyed some great fireworks on the 3rd. Olivia loved the fireworks. I covered her ears and she just sat there in awe of the colors and lights. Then on Independence Day we started the day with the Lander parade.

It was so hot but loads of fun. I must say Olivia wore some of the cutest outfits to celebrate the holiday. It was fun to watch Olivia and her cousin Nathan try to figure each other out. Nathan was cautious at first but so loving by the end of the week.
That evening we went on a wagon ride behind Gary's team of Belgian horses.

Afterwards we went to the Pioneer Days rodeo. Olivia wore her cute Cowgirl dress and cowboy/girl boots. She lasted about 30 minutes which was okay with me since we missed the calf roping. Then we spent the next few hours at Cami and Shane's house watching fireworks through their big living room windows. They live on the same hill as the rodeo arena and have an amazing view of the valley. It was incredible! The whole town of Lander must have spent thousands of dollars on fireworks and we got to sit there in the dark and enjoy them. It was better than Stadium of Fire.
On Saturday you might think we would have spent the day relaxing, but there's not much relaxing with the Barneys. Which is the way we like it. Trav went horseback riding with his sister Brooke, Gary and Lori. When they came back we packed up and headed to Boysen Reservoir to play on the boat. Olivia wasn't super excited about it initially but she eventually enjoyed some time in the arms of her dad and aunt Cami.

I love small town celebrations. Very jealous of your wonderful weekend. Livy looked adorable of course.
Where did you get such a cute background from? I love the blog and I'm glad you had a fantastic week in Lander. Livy looks adorable in all her pictures and I think she and Libby may have the same 4th of July outfit. We'll need to get them dressed and take a few pics. I'm supposed to be googling the phone number for Cafe Rio but I always get so distracted by my friend's blogs. Tay's probably there and wondering why they don't have our dinner ready yet. I'll call you soon about Wed!
