Mission call

The best things I ever did was get married, have a baby and serve a mission. It has been over 8 years since the exciting day when I opened the big envelope that said I would serve a the Lord in the TEXAS McAllen Mission!!! (spanish speaking-the best language EVER). Well last night my sister had the same exciting moment. She opened the envelope and (drum roll please. . .)

Sister DanaAnne Burnham is called to serve in the TEXAS Houston South Mission teaching the gospel in the Spanish language. She is to enter the MTC on February 4th.

WOOHOOOOO! What a great time of life and a great opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others. There is no greater joy than to watch someone you have grown to love enter the waters of baptism and receive the blessings that the knowledge of the restored gospel has to offer.

Well, she is the last of us Burnham kids to serve a mission. There are five Burnham kids and 3 have served missions, one is serving right now and on February 4th that will make the total Burnham children missionaries to FIVE. My dad served a mission some 30 plus years ago, we only need to send my parents on a mission to get my mom out there.

All I can say is, YAY for Missionaries, YAY for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and YAY for my sister.

Congratulations Dana, you will be an awesome missionary and there are many people in Texas who are waiting for you to share the Gospel with them. You have such great gifts that will touch the hearts of many. We love you and support you completely.
LOVE YOU ALWAYS!!

How EXCITING! Aah...it brings back memories. I'm so glad that I was part of your 'best things I ever did' list! And by the way, those are on my list, too!
