I am ashamed to admit, but I have never really been a gardener before. I love the idea of growing my own food and harvesting it and yummy-I do love to eat fresh produce. However, I never took the time or had the yard space for a garden. Well, this year I was determined. I have a father in-law who has an amazing garden. So my in-laws came down one weekend and helped till the ground and bought seeds etc. Then lucky enough, my dad who also dabbles in the garden came up for a visit with my bro, Tyson and they helped me plant. I didn't take a picture at the time but with lots of prayers and water and weeding (thanks mom and dad!) my garden is looking pretty good.
I don't mean to brag but for a first timer like myself I must admit things are coming right along.
We have loads of lettuce and are eating home grown salads everyday. I can't wait for everything else to be ready.

Your garden looks amazing!!!!! We have been eating fresh raspberries off of our bush in the front. They are so delicious. The peas are almost ready and I can't wait. I never knew growing stuff could be so fun!! We're hoping to expand our garden next year because this year it is pretty small.
What an awesome looking garden! You have every right to be proud of yourself. There is something wonderful about growing and eating your own food. Yum!!
how cute is that. farmer Amy :). I've been wanting to do the same thing but me and live plants don't get along. and lets not mention what happened to the plant in the nurses station. Ingrid wouldn't be too happy.
I am so impressed! We haven't ever had space for a garden either and the idea of having loads of pots to trip over on my patio or set fire to via the bar-b-que isn't very appealing. But some day, I hope to grow up to be just like you!
