Birthday cake

Alright, I am a little slow at posting this but we had a great time in Bear Lake celebrating Olivia's 1st birthday. My family all came up from Utah to party. Travis has most of the video and pictures of Livs but I thought I should post pics of her cake. Now it isn't spectacular or even professional looking but I am proud of my work. It is my first real cake and only the second time with fondant. YIKES!

I was going to make teddy bears as the pillars to hold up the top tier but lets be honest, I am just glad the cake made it without too much damage from our house to Bear Lake.

The bottom of the cake spells OLIVIA. As you can tell during travels the fondant buckled just a little. I must admit that it tasted absolutely delicious. Yippeee for being all domestic!
More birthday pics and video to come.

HOLY CRAP!! Not professional... whatever! That is the cutest cake I have ever seen! If I make their cake, my kids choices are yellow with chocolate frosting or chocolate with chocolate frosting. (We are big on chocolate...) I am totally impressed.

Amy, the cake looks amazing. Way to go! I can't wait to see more pictures of the birthday. Are you going to tell us how Livy sprained her ankle?
