the GREAT PUMPKIN

No, Hell didn't freeze over and yes you aren't dreaming. I posted twice in one week. I know it has been a long time, almost a year, since I last posted anything. Things have been rough and I have made some changes and now I have a goal of posting at least once a week to two times. Here is a few pics of our Halloween.


Earlier in the month we went to the pumpkin patch in Riverton, WY and they also have a mini corn maze for little kids. SO fun!

The family at Trunk n' Treat.

What a fun time. Liv had a party at school and stayed dressed up all day. Here in Lander, Main Street businesses open their doors at 3pm-5pm and we go trick or treating down main street. This was by far their best year, lots of candy, lots of kids and costumes. Our fire department and EMS set up a parking lot and had stations where we could get 911 coloring books, pencils, stickers and fun "Stop, drop and roll" stuff. The gaming store gave out comic books. Liv got a Spiderman comic book-very fitting and Devlin chose a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles book-with Dad's help of course.

Then we went and visited Pop (Travis' dad) and off to trunk n' treat at the church. We ended our evening with a visit with my Aunt and Uncle, Amy and Dave, for some visiting and candy.

We got home and put out our candy for the GREAT PUMPKIN. At our house, we pile all our candy in a large bowl and we pick our favorite pieces of candy (about a handful maybe enough to fit into a small ziploc bag) and then put the rest in a sack. We leave the sack out by the door for the GREAT PUMPKIN who comes at night and takes our candy and leaves us a toy instead. It has been a really successful tradition. My kids and my stomach really enjoy the toys over the candy any day.
