The snow was good so of course we had to play in it. We went up to Beaver Mountain in Logan canyon to ski. Olivia has skied for a couple of years now but Nathan spent his first day on the slopes just tearin' it up. We signed them up for an hour ski lesson and the stayed on the "magic carpet" learners slope. They are natural little athletes. Nathan is 6 and Liv is 4 and good friends. Makes their Mommas happy.
*I stole a couple of pics from Cami's blog.

Devlin and myself cheering them on.
Waving from the "magic carpet".
Devlin was tired of watching and found love in the snow. If we didn't know better, he might have been born on a snow bank.
The day was full of adventure. Shane went snowmobiling, Cami tried to get in some nordic skiing in but ended up with a crazy story and had to hike out of a good hill. Then we went back to the condo and all walked out on the frozen lake and looked at all the ice fishers.
The next day we got ready for church and when we got there it was closed. I guess they close church when we are on vacation! Actually, the power was out in Laketown, Ut. and so there was no church. We stopped for a quick photo op to prove we had good intentions.

After our church attempt we decided on some sledding. We went back up the canyon and played in the snow.
Can you even tell that this is Liv?
There was a great tunnel in one of the snow mounds and the kids played in it and on it and just had fun.
US!
We did have a super scary moment. Nathan and Olivia wanted to sled down
the big hill and the went down whooping and hollering and just did
great. Then the unthinkable happened. As our children were getting out
of the sled some young adults (in their 20's) decided to get on their
tube and head directly towards our babies. We yelled at the kids to move
but this happened all too quickly. Nathan was barely able to move out
of the way as the other sledders ran right into my baby. Even though
this happened a couple months ago I still can't think of it with some
emotion. Liv went flying and twirling in the air like a rag doll and
landed on her back. Travis ran down to her and helped her up and she was
okay. I can't believe we were blessed with such a miracle. That night, Liv thanked Heavenly Father for giving her her life.
The next day was full of fun snowmobiling, sledding and a relaxing swim at the local pool.

Have you ever seen cuter ski kids.
